EcoTech Marine

Tim Marks, Pat Clasen and Justin Lawyer, collectively known as EcoTech Marine, invented a novel propeller pump for high-end reef aquariums, a specialized branch of the saltwater aquarium market. Their VorTech™ pump creates a healthier environment inside reef tanks while protecting fish and delicate coral from heat and electrical shock. It’s a well-engineered piece of equipment, the result of years of research and development.

With a new eCommerce site in the works, EcoTech required some product photography. Faced with a tight deadline, Element Media discussed the project with EcoTech team, came up with a concept & documented 18 individual products with a consistent look and feel. The photography was carried out in Element Media’s digital studio, where a custom lightbox was built to achieve the desired result.

Post production was then subcontracted to the extremely talented DeAnn Berger at Chixel.net. After we delivered DeAnn the RAW data from the shoot, she created clipping paths and isolated the individual products enabling EcoTech’s web development team to easily integrate the shots both into their website and future marketing materials.
